Carbon Footprint Management

We actively manage our GHG emissions using the GobiSOFT carbon accounting tools provided by Gobi Carbon Management Solutions Inc. Our measured GHG emission for 2010 per employee were 980Kgrams including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 (paper, garbage, business travel and employee commuting). While our emissions are very low for a business within our industry, we will be endeavoring to reduce our footprint per employee by 10% by 2012.

• We were purposely designed as a virtual organizations, hence we do not maintain a formal office environment. We use the latest communication and information sharing technologies to facilitate our business initiatives. Benefits include:
  • Reduction in energy use and emissions related to dedicated office space and to and from the work location commuting.
  • Providing for a more flexible work environment and life balance for employees.
• We actively discourage the use of personal vehicles where at all possible and encourage, through our culture, peer pressure, and a transit and bike use benefit plan bike and transit commuting to and from client and team meeting locations. In 2010 we logged 8,400 km personal vehicle use for business and team meeting commuting, 10,500 km on transit and 6,000 km bicycling and walking. Our goal by 2012 is to reduce our personal vehicle commuting percentage from its current 33% to 17% of all ground business and employee commuting travel.
   
• To reduce our waste contributions, we operate our business as a paperless office.  Paper is only used when required to submit legal documents. We minimize the use of binders where feasible.
